Carole Bouquet

Carole Bouquet was born August 18, 1957, in the town of Neuilly-sur-Seine, France.  
Her film career began at age 20, with a role in Luis Bunuel's 1977 Cet obscur objet du desir.  She hit it big in 1981, when her performance as Melina opposite Roger Moore as 007 in For Your Eyes Only  enshrined her one of the most unforgettable Bond women ever.  (As chance would have it, she was later featured in the 1984's Nemo, starring Jason Connery, Sean Connery's son.).  

Since then, Bouquet has worked steadily, performing in an average of over a film per year.  Her screen credits include Bertrand Blier's 1989 Trop belle pour toi and Michel Blanc's 1994 Gross Fatigue.  Her most recent appearance is in the title role, which had originally gone to Juliette Binoche, of 1996's Lucie Aubrac, a film about the French Resistance fighter. 

Bouquet is equally famous, however, as a model,  particularly for her stunning work for Chanel during the 1980's.  (Remember the woman in the black bathing suit day dreaming by the pool?)

Her elegance has made Bouquet a model of style, poise, and grace, yet that fatally cool demeanor somehow says flatly, "Don't mess with me."  And her hold on the cinematic imagination endures.
